Cal My name is Cal and I'm a 7th grade student. We are having a Renaissance Fair at our school. I have chosen castles as my topic. I need to do a written and oral presentation on how castles influenced The Renaissance. Any ideas? Merlin Well, it was more the other way: The Renaissance influenced the castles very much. If you compare a real medieval castle of the 13th century with a castle or château in the Loire valley in France (like Chambord), you'll see what I mean. As the Renaissance was very much influenced by the classic age of the Greeks and Romans, noblemen of that time tried to give their residences a touch what they thought would look like something greek or roman.
